Aside from her leading role on Primeval: New World, Miranda Frigon is also known for her recurring role as Janice Wayne on CBC / CW's  “Heartland” for 3 three seasons. . . 

An Edmonton native, Miranda began her acting career at the age of 8, appearing in dozens of T.V. commercials.  She studied as a theatre major at the University of Alberta before receiving a scholarship to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC where she trained in Musical Theatre.  A recurring role on Disney’s “Honey, I Shrunk The Kids” brought her back to Canada where she went on to guest star on shows such as The Dead Zone, The 4400, Tru Calling, Higher Ground, John Doe and The Chris Isaak Show to name a few.  After a 13 episode run as Tech Agent Carver on the U.S. series Jake 2.0, Miranda made her way to Los Angeles.  She has since guest starred on hit shows such as Dexter, The New Adventures of Old Christine, Ugly Betty, Supernatural, V, Sanctuary, most recently the CW's Emily Owens M.D., CBC's Arctic Air and numerous feature films including NEXT alongside Nicolas Cage, Julianne Moore and Jessica Biel.  She also starred in the Los Angeles/Vancouver tour of Mental the Musical for which she was nominated 'Best Supporting Actress' in a Musical for the 2007 Ticketholder Awards, alongside Broadway’s Jersey Boys, Avenue Q and The Color Purple. Miranda most recently received a Best Supporting Actress nomination for the Canadian LEO Awards for her role on Primeval New World.

You can catch her most recently starring in the psychological thriller "Anatomy Of Deception" with Natasha Henstridge, which will be released in 2014 and the Hallmark original "A Cookie Cutter Christmas" which will air on the Hallmark channel Christmas 2014. She also just landed a role in Neill Blomkamp's (DIstrict 9, Elysium) feature film "CHAPPIE" starring Hugh Jackman and SIgourney Weaver.


In addition to her acting career, Miranda is also an accomplished singer-songwriter and musician.  Her original songs have been placed in television series and feature films by Fox, Paramount, The CW, UPN, CBC, SPACE, and Syfy.  Her placements have gotten her worldwide exposure and attracted new fans all over the globe. She is now currently writing and recording her latest album and is writing specifically for film, television and advertising.
